Clark Public Utilities Heat Pump Water Heater Program Terms & Conditions

By receiving an instant rebate, I confirm that:

  • I am a Clark Public Utilities customer.
  • The heat pump water heater will be replacing an existing electric resistance water heater.
  • I own the home where the heat pump water heater is installed, or if I am a tenant, I have permission from the property owner to install the heat pump water heater.
  • I will install the heat pump water heater at the service address indicated in the program survey (pop-up screen prior to checkout) within 90 days of purchase.
  • The heat pump water heater will be installed by a contractor properly licensed in WA, or if installing yourself, the installation will meet applicable local, county, and state code/permitting requirements. Clark Public Utilities recommends hiring a licensed contractor for installation.
  • I have determined that the heat pump water heater is suitable for my home/application. General Pacific and Clark Public Utilities make no guarantee of fitness for a particular purpose and disclaims any liability for consequential damages arising out of the use of, or the inability to use the heat pump water heater.
  • I will grant access to the property after installation to review and evaluate the heat pump water heater installation for adherence to specifications and equipment standards. Not all projects will be selected.
  • The electric account holder at the installation site authorizes the utility to utilize billing data for energy savings analysis. With this authorization, the utility may also release up to two years pre-installation and up to two years post-installation of the customer’s billing information to Bonneville Power Administration and other third parties in order to perform energy savings analysis. The customer also hereby releases the utility from any and all liability arising from or connected with the release of this information.
  • Clark Public Utilities is not responsible for installation or any damages caused due to the installation of the heat pump water heater.

Returns

General Pacific accepts returns of water heaters only under certain conditions. The unit to be returned must be (1) in new, undamaged condition, (2) unused, and (3) in its complete, intact packaging. If these conditions are met, a restocking fee of $140 and a return shipping fee of $120 will be deducted from your refund ($260 total or the full purchase price, whichever is less).

Delivery
Curbside delivery service is included with the purchase of a heat pump water heater, and is the only service available through this offer. Inside delivery and/or delivery up or down stairs is NOT available. Someone must be present to sign for delivery. If you need to reschedule your delivery, you must do so at least 24 hours prior to your delivery appointment.

Warranty:

Clark Public Utilities is not responsible for repairing or replacing a heat pump water heater that has failed or is defective and is unable to assist with warranty claims. Please contact the manufacturer directly for warranty terms and instructions.
